February 2020 Recap
Hello one and all!
We are thrilled to revitalize our blog series! You can look forward to having two blog posts a month where we’ll tell you how much has been going on over the past month and spotlight SGS employees, events, issues in our community, and much much more!
This issue will summarize what has happened for SGS in the month of February!
February was an eventful month at Smith Gee Studio, from firm socials to recruitment to in-house critiques, we did it all.
Auburn Career Fair (February 4th-5th)
Fleming, Kristen, and Erin went back to their Alma Mater to see new grads, new buildings, and their old friend, Aubie the Tiger.
Design Round Table, new format Kick Off (February 13th)
We’ve revamped our in-house Design Round Tables. Lauren kicks us off with Jack and Taylor over some coffee, tea, and donuts at this “Brew and Review.”
Kenect Tour and Social Outing (February 20th)
It’s always fun to see projects come to life. The firm took the half day to get lunch, visit the Kenect Building in Midtown and take in some fun at Kung Fu Saloon.
SGS Book Club (February 26th)
This month, the book club takes on “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman, over dinner and drinks.
University of Tennessee Career Fair (February 27th-28th)
Dallas, Hunter, Anjona, and Elizabeth O. head to Knoxville to see what’s changed and scout out new talent.
We celebrated five birthdays in February: Taylor on the 5th, Jesse on the 10th, Tyrone on the 16th, and Fleming and Omar on the 17th!
Nashville Architecture Bowling League wraps up this month as well, with our team “Strike, Gutter, Spare”. Congrats to Ron, Erin, Daniel, Yesenia, and Sonya!
Don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter! Look out for the redesign coming soon, and we hope you enjoy our DOTS content to come!
Be sure to look out for our next post at the end of the month!
