As Huntsville, Alabama’s first major urban mixed-use redevelopment, the $100M Twickenham Square serves the beautiful historic neighborhoods, downtown and the adjacent regional medical center with a vibrant destination of shops, cafe and restaurants. Anchored by a new urban grocery, the 56,000 SF of storefront retail space will supports a new hotel, a 5-story medical office building and 250 apartments within the development. Tree-lined streetscapes, crosswalks and dynamic storefronts create an active, pedestrian-oriented experience.

Smith Gee Studio prepared the Master Plan for the 14-acre development and served as Design Architect for the retail buildings and grocery store. SGS also designed and was Architect of Record for the multi-family project, Artisan, consisting of two apartment buildings, a parking garage and 8,000 SF of ground floor retail.
