To me “connecting the dots” means
Aligning people and projects. It means seeing a need or opportunity and finding the right people with the right convictions and capabilities in order to leverage our collective abilities and expertise to positively impact our community.
When not at work you will find me
Riding my Harley
Fleming is a Founding Principal at Smith Gee Studio with over 30 years of experience across a broad range of project types including large mixed-use developments, multi-family, corporate headquarters, hotels, military housing, community centers, adaptive reuse, retail, and custom homes. Fleming was Principal in Charge (PIC) of Twickenham Square, Huntsville’s first large-scale urban redevelopment project in 2014, led design efforts for Main & Clay, a high-density mixed-use project in one of Louisville’s historic up-and-coming neighborhoods, and more recently was PIC for Harpeth Square in Franklin, TN.
Among the many large-scale projects, Fleming continues to carry out his passion for single-family design and has crafted plans for hundreds of custom homes and renovations. From the restoration of an 1837 antebellum home with Historic Registry status to a modern, eastern-influenced residence, Fleming works closely with his clients to ensure their personal needs, priorities, and family style shine through any project.
Fleming has served on the board of Cumberland Region Tomorrow and is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Fleming often trades his truck for his Harley.
