Burkitt Commons is a traditional neighborhood development (TND) located on Nolensville Pike at Burkitt Road in Nashville’s growing southeast community. The neighborhood crosses the county line with commercial uses located both in Nashville, Davidson County and in Nolensville, Williamson County. SGS master planned the proposed neighborhood for a mix of residential uses, including townhomes, live/work units, multi-family flats, single-family homes and carriage units. A neighborhood commercial center is located at the main entry from Nolensville Pike, oriented to create a pedestrian oriented “main street” serving the neighboring residential community. Recreation trails are planned that will connect Burkitt Commons to adjacent neighborhoods to promote pedestrian activity and lessen automobile dependence in the community.
