Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the existing 239 room hotel is located on a wooded knoll overlooking the Rivanna River, five miles from the University of Virginia and Shenandoah National Park.

Smith Gee Studio completed a total renovation of the lobby, restaurant, lounge and guestroom-suite areas. The spaces were enhanced with the addition of front desk pods, connectivity zone, sales and amenity areas. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape with a nod to the local vineyards, a fresh modern interior with a neutral architectural core offsets vibrant local art throughout – transforming the hotel into a contemporary destination with a connection to the local wine and arts community.
