The Back Corner is an event space expansion of the successful 5th & Taylor restaurant in historic Germantown. The Client wanted to keep the industrial feel of the existing warehouse shell for the main space with a new mezzanine viewing area and an intimate expansion of the building for the back of house elements.

Smith Gee Studio used our expertise in architecture and code analysis to make the complicated vision a reality, managing the process with the consultants, designers, and code reviewers. The property is located within the 14-acre site of Taylor Place just north of downtown Nashville. Smith Gee Studio is leading the Master Planning and Architectural Design for the entire mixed-use redevelopment of this 100-year old industrial site.
