M Restaurant & Bar was the first high-end restaurant investment in Cummins Station’s retail mix. Because it was located by the building’s main lobby, the owner was extraordinarily involved in the process, investing in lobby improvements as part of the renovation.
SGS helped coordinate core building upgrades including a centralized grease pit and vent shaft to the roof. Steel and glass windows and doors were salvaged during demolition and reused in the space, while new full glass windows provided views to the black walnut bar focal point. A custom cherry wall tucked the bathrooms quietly behind the security desk and a new stone floor at the lobby brightened the entry sequence.
