The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency selected Smith Gee Studio and our partner, Moody Nolan, Inc., to design the new Uptown Lofts workforce housing on Dickerson Pike in Nashville.

Serving to catalyze the transformation of an inner-city commercial strip, Uptown Flats presents a bold dynamic façade to the auto-oriented pike. Turning the corner toward the neighborhood, stoops, Juliet balconies, lush brick planter boxes and locally inspired materials and colors respect the area’s pedestrian-friendly residential character.

Uptown Lofts received LEED for Homes Silver Certification.
