Located on Alabama’s busy Interstate 565 corridor at the gateway to the Redstone Arsenal, Town Madison was master planned as a major commercial, entertainment hub, and traditional neighborhood for the growing city of Madison, Alabama. The Master Plan, created by DPZ, includes four districts that span a total of 563 acres between Wall Triana Hwy and Zierdt Rd, on the south edge of I-565. Smith Gee Studio developed a set of Design Guidelines for The Heights District, and collaborated with the developer and their team to make implementation refinements to the original master plan. Smith Gee Studio also serves as Town Architect for the Town Madison Design Review Committee and has designed commercial and attached residential buildings adjacent to the Exchange District’s new minor league baseball stadium.
