Harpeth Square Interiors

Smith Gee Studio, in partnership with 906 Studio, spearheaded the transformation of Franklin, Tennessee’s Historic Downtown District with its largest infill development to date—a sophisticated blend of hospitality, residential, and retail design integrated within the area's storied urban core.

Central to the project is The Harpeth, a boutique Hilton Curio Hotel that exemplifies refined Southern charm. Its interiors are thoughtfully curated to evoke timeless elegance: a high-end restaurant and café with bespoke finishes, a grand ballroom and boardrooms designed for comfort and function, and a tranquil outdoor courtyard framed by a dramatic imperial stair. The hotel’s four-story front porch, brick veneer, and stone accents echo Franklin’s architectural heritage, while the interiors invite modern luxury with a sense of place.

Smith Gee Studio not only crafted the overarching master plan and served as Architect of Record—they also led the interior design across all mixed-use elements. This includes stylish, amenity-rich multifamily residences directly connected to the hotel, enhancing the walkable, community-driven atmosphere.
