Athena at the Park

Smith Gee Studio served as the Architect of Record for Athena at the Park, a high-end residential development located along the edge of Centennial Park in Nashville. SGS was responsible for translating the design vision into a fully realized building—providing comprehensive architectural services, technical coordination, and documentation to deliver a luxury multifamily project that meets the expectations of today’s urban residents.

Working closely with the client and design team, SGS oversaw the integration of sleek modern architecture—including expansive glass façades, clean concrete and metal detailing, and strategic use of natural wood accents. The team navigated complex site constraints and zoning requirements while ensuring that interior elements such as open-concept unit layouts, high-end kitchen and bath finishes, and wellness-focused amenity spaces met both performance standards and market expectations. Amenity coordination included a fitness center, rooftop terrace, sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor pool, all designed to enhance the resident experience. From code compliance to construction administration, SGS helped ensure Athena’s bold design vision was delivered with technical precision and long-term durability.

Overlooking Centennial Park, Athena’s location informed both the building’s orientation and its interior design, which emphasizes light, openness, and a quiet elegance. Residences feature wide-plank hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and large-format windows that frame sweeping views of the park and city skyline. Gourmet kitchens with induction cooktops and spa-inspired bathrooms add an elevated level of comfort, while a refined materials palette—paired with natural textures—connects the interior environment to its serene, park-side setting.
