The Founders

After years of leading the Nashville office of a national firm, Fleming, Hunter, Dallas, and Greg founded Smith Gee Studio in 2010. Their partnership was built on trust, collaboration, and a shared vision: to create a practice rooted in design excellence, community impact, and a deep connection to place. With experience on national projects and a passion for their hometown, the founding team returned to Nashville with a mission to reimagine the city—one place at a time. Fifteen years later, that mission continues. The studio has grown, the work has expanded, and the commitment to thoughtful, people-centered design remains as strong as ever.
