Architectural Quality Manager
The Architectural Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of project drawing and documentation reviews, providing technical direction to Project Teams for projects in both the design and construction phases, as well as performing all aspects of construction administration responsibilities for projects as assigned. Reporting directly to the Quality Management Director, this role is essential in maintaining high standards of quality, ensuring compliance with building codes, and fostering continual improvement across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Provide meticulous reviews of project documents and drawings to ensure they are OTCC (On Time, Correct, and Complete).
- Develop and maintain office standard specifications to streamline submittal reviews.
Team Support & Training
- Serve as a resource for individual team members, promoting continual improvement on all aspects of project documentation.
Construction Administration Leadership
- Work with the quality management team to document and train team members on CA best practices.
- Provide support during the Construction Administration phase, including general and project-specific questions, site visits, submittal reviews, and the preparation of “As-Designed” record closeout documents.
Project & Risk Management
- Engage in proactive problem-solving and risk management strategies to optimize project outcomes and minimize potential issues.
Qualifications
- Education: A professional degree from an accredited architecture or design program is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in architectural design and production, including substantial experience in Construction Administration. Experience across various project types and phases is essential, with a strong preference for multifamily projects.
- Certification: Licensure as an architect or another relevant design professional is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, construction methods, construction administration, and building codes.
- Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills
- Attributes: Proactive, adaptable, and creative with strong problem-solving capabilities and a collaborative approach to leadership.
