PROJECT INFORMATION
Porter & Cahal will be a new 20 acre +/- mixed-use development located at the crossroads of Porter Road and Cahal Avenue in East Nashville. Porter & Cahal is envisioned as a new neighborhood community with pedestrian-friendly streets, a robust open space network, and an active commercial ‘main street’ where living, working, shopping, and leisure come together.
The concept plan proposes up to 800 Residential dwelling units and up to 80,000 SF of Commercial uses across five ‘transect zones’. Each zone proposes unique bulk standards that provide appropriate transitions in height, density, and building form to prioritize a context sensitive approach with the surrounding neighborhood. The plan has involved the help of many key parties, including Councilwoman Emily Benedict, local community leaders and members, and Planning staff.
